Rule Changes[ | ]
The Beach Party event is the first ever event to feature a Co-op mode. Instead of racing for Norma against each other, players will work together as a single team to defeat Big the Jonathan, who replaces the boss on the map. The players win if they deplete Big the Jonathan's HP or survive to the end of chapter 50. The players lose if they are all KO'd at the same time. Since the event relies on cooperation, it is quite difficult to complete the event alone with CPU players. Below is a summary of all changes:
- Before the game begins, each player chooses a character and role to use. This determines the player's deck, hyper, and special abilites.
- All regular field events (including ) are disabled and cannot be selected.
- All stars, wins, Norma levels, and Home panels are shared.
- Both Norma objectives (Stars & Wins) are active; the players can complete either objective to level up.
- Stars objectives are multiplied by 1.5 and Wins objectives are doubled. There is no objective at Norma level 5.
- All Encounter panels feature , some of which have a stat boost and are worth more Wins.
- As the game progresses, Boss panels spawn in random locations and various boss abilities are launched.
- Being KO'd in battle costs 1/8 of the team's stars rounded down.
- New Recovery stats are calculated by the formula: Recovery = (base recovery + attack - evade).
- Chapter 30 will remove all Home panels and leave them as Neutral panels.
- Chapter 40 will replace all panels besides Warp and Warp Move with Boss panels.

Many characters have notable changes to their stats and passives that are important for the player to understand when playing Co-op. Certain characters are more or less viable than they usually would be as a result of these adjustments.
- REC Changes
In Co-op mode, each character's REC stat is calculated by the formula: [base REC + base ATK - base EVD], limited to a minimum of 3 REC and a maximum of 9 REC. Characters with more than 6 REC do not have to roll higher than 6, but will instead have a roll requirement of 6 for more than one turn. For instance, a character with 8 REC will need to roll 6 on one of the first three recovery rolls to recover, after which the roll requirement will decrease as usual.

Passive Changes
- Version 1.28.5, Shifu could only recover with full HP when succeeding at a recovery roll.) Shifu will still start with 1 HP and regenerate HP as normal. now has 3 REC and must roll for recovery when KO'd. Shifu also recovers with full HP instead of 1 HP. (Prior to
- can counterattack in all battles with Big the Jonathan.
- can complete Stars norma objectives.
- now has instant recovery (indicated by a hyphen on her unit card), making her immune to Co-op's REC changes.
- and lose the same amount of stars as anyone else when KO'd in battle.
- Previously, Avenger max HP would reset under certain conditions. This was corrected in an unknown patch.
- Encounter panels. passive does not spawn a on
- passive and the Avenger role's +1 ATK per damage taken effect do not stack, meaning the player will only receive +1 ATK per HP lost, not +2.
Roles a unique way to play in co-op, with each character being designated to a role and rank. The roles are Attackers, Guardians, Supporters, and Avengers each of which features their own special abilities. Each character will receive a rank of A-E and a prebuilt deck to accompany their role. Decks vary based on the character's rank. Generally, the stronger the character's stats, the weaker the cards provided.

Along with their new deck, players will also have their normal Hyper card replaced with a unique event-only Hyper specific to their role choice. The Hypers are specifically designed to boost the passive abilities of the role and aid the player in defeating Big the Jonathan before chapter 50 after the completion of Norma 5. The Hypers can also be transferred between players with
. If this action is taken, the Hypers will remain as the cards they were when they were originally drawn. As a result, an Attacker can end up with a Supporter's Hyper.
Big the Jonathan is a special boss designed for Co-op mode, replacing the normal boss on the board. Any time the player lands on a Boss panel, they will battle Big the Jonathan. Unlike normal bosses, Big attacks first by default and can only go second against an Attacker. Big has 0 DEF, -4 EVD, and an ATK stat that increases as the game progresses. (Originally, Big started at 0 ATK and gained +1 ATK every 8 chapters; as of Version 1.28.1, Big starts at +1 ATK and gains +1 ATK every 10 chapters.)
Big the Jonathan also has a varying amount of HP, modified by the roles that the players select before the start of the game. Big's HP starts at 60 by default, and is modified by the following amounts: +5 for each Attacker, -5 for each Guardian, and +10 for each Avenger. As a result, Big can have a minimum of 40 HP and a maximum of 100 HP. The players must defeat Big before chapter 50 or survive until chapter 50, otherwise Big will be the victor.
The greatest strength of Big is his secondary abilities. Big can manipulate the game with field events and card effects to greatly harm the players.
Secondary Abilities:
- Terror from Above: Every 2 chapters, random Boss panels spawn around the board. The amount of spawned panels increases as the game progresses. This effect lasts for the duration of the Chapter and does not affect Home, Warp, or Warp Move panels.
- Field events: Big can use field events and certain card effects to harm the player. Big begins the game with two field events (which occur every 3 chapters). On chapter 10 and 20, he will replace one of his field events for one of the stronger ones. On chapter 30, he will start using these events every 2 chapters instead of every 3. If the players have not defeated Big before chapter 50, he will end the game with a to battle every player in succession.

- The event was originally supposed to only have swimsuits for [2] and , but after thinking about the story Hono decided it would be better if received one as well.
- The original Big the Jonathan from this event does not possess a unit card. The unit card used on this page was designed by wiki staff for display purposes.
