- Playing As Cook
- Cook should aim for
Draw panels early to attempt to draw 
Guidance of the Weathercock, however may want to switch to 
Bonus panels regardless of if she drew it to not fall too behind. - Due to Cook's mediocre defensive stats and lack of ATK, she should deck defensive cards such as
Shield in order to stay alive; which is especially important if she gets a star lead through Guidance of the Weathercock. Due to her high EVD stat. 
Rainbow-Colored Circle can also be helpful in survivng. - Due to losing 1 EVD after gaining 3 Hungry stacks, Cook may want to defend low rolls to preserve her +3 EVD.
- Guidance of the Weathercock is best used later in the game to get as close to norma 6 as possible, reducing the amount of turns there are for Cook to be stopped. However, it may be wise to use it early to prevent card control such as
Gift Exchange or 
Flamethrower taking it away from you before losing it. - Due to Cook being very card reliant,
Nice Present and 
Princess's Privilege can be very useful to draw cards. 
Home Improvement is also an interesting option, if Cook is under the effect of Guidance of the Weathercock she has a good chance to reach other players' homes and draw the card before them due to rolling two dice for movement each turn.
- Playing Against Cook
- Card control such as
Scrambled Eve, Flamethrower, or 
Present Thief can take cards away that Cook often relies on to win, especially Guidance of the Weathercock. - Characters with weak hypers themselves can also use
Mimic to get a copy of Guidance of the Weathercock - Characters with a high ATK stat such as often are able to KO Cook due to her low DEF.
- While a risky option,
Sky Restaurant 'Pures' can be devastating to a Cook who gained massive stars from {Ci|Guidance of the Weathercock}} - Cards that boost ATK such as
Big Magnum gives a better chance at KO'ing Cook.
