The Double Star Event is one of the five bonus events that may run at any time of year. It was added in Version 3.13.3. For the duration of the event, any bonus 
Stars gained at the end of a match are doubled. The main menu also features a unique banner when the event is active.
Overview[ | ]
After finishing a single-player or online match, the player will immediately be met with a "Breakdown of Gained Stars" screen. This screen displays a list of the bonus stars awarded to the player. The types of bonus stars and their amounts depend on various factors of the player's performance during the match. The player normally receives Stars equal to the total of all the bonus star amounts. During the Double Star Event, this total is doubled after all calculations, and is denoted by a (2x) label.
When playing in online matches, the amount of online experience points (XP) earned is calculated from the initial total of bonus stars before being doubled. This means that although stars are doubled, XP is not doubled.
