Hoshino Reika's Hyper is Star Collector. When used, if any other unit gains stars from a panel or through achieving a battle KO, they will receive (Player Lvl) fewer stars from that instance of star gain, and the player will gain stars equal to their level. This effect lasts for 3 chapters, or until the player is KO'd.
Strategy
Playstyle
Reika's playstyle can best be described as an opportunistic assassin. Where Reika's 2 ATK shines best is against weaker (or considerably weakened) opponents who may not be able to strike back as hard. At the same time, Reika's +2 ATK is also a defensive stat - opponents will be cautious to challenge Reika, for fear of a strong counterattack. Tanks with -ATK and squishy stats, such as
, are the preferred target for bullying (Still, it is risky to fight high HP tanks multiple times in succession, due to Reika's low HP). Since Reika's defensive stats are weaker, she can function as an 'assassin,' mainly challenging opponents who are already on low HP, or easy KOs, to avoid any counterattack from them. Regardless, the player should be wary of her 3 HP at all times, opting to avoid characters who have an edge against her in . Thus, Reika should preferably avoid being in front of anyone who may want to challenge her - even if it means challenging them first, in order to stop on their panel - avoiding going in front of them. Reika will have an edge against other players in terms of star-gain, thanks to her passive and Hyper. Should Reika need to use her 2 ATK to catch up in the late game, she can challenge players who are ahead.Tips
- Playing As Hoshino Reika
Reika is very fragile. She has 2 fewer HP than Star Breaker, so the player has to be conservative with her HP. The player generally wants to avoid challenging opponents or stepping onto a Boss panel; Encounter panels can prove fruitful (Such as in the event of a wild unit carrying many stars) with Reika's +2 ATK, but also carry some risk due to Reika's low 3 HP. While she is very good on offense, she is generally weak when defending. For this reason, she may desire packing a card that boosts her DEF and/or EVD. Reika cannot take advantage of wins norma, so any cards that may benefit wins norma - especially at the cost of stars - should be avoided. Some examples of this include and .
- and are recommended over and , since the latter cards benefit opponents more, due to Reika's lower max HP.
- is a solid option. Reika's Hyper, , is quite low-impact, not granting that many stars (and the effect being lost on KO). The player would more than likely want to swap Reika's Hyper for a more powerful one, such as or . This brings some risk, however, as other characters in the game may benefit from Mimic just as much.
- Card control such as and are to be considered. The player often wouldn't mind losing cards, as they tend to be used when the player needs them, such as in the case of . However, it may be counter-intuitive to bring both and in the same deck, since opponents may want to use Gift Exchange if they see Reika use Mimic.
- is one of Reika's best defensive cards - especially when Reika has low HP, and must evade.
- Albeit being an option that can benefit opponents, the player may consider including Boss. , on the other hand, might not be useful, since the player often wants to counterattack with Reika's +2 ATK, in order to get opponents chasing off their back. for use against opponents when defending and countering with her +2 ATK; although, the best case is for the
- can steal massive amounts of stars from an opponent - doubly so thanks to Reika's additional +2 ATK. However, Reika should be wary using this card against opponents who can hit back, such as those with .
- Having full HP is very important, because it may dissuade opponents from challenging the player, and significantly increases their odds of survival against any threats such as Boss.
- Playing Against Hoshino Reika
While it may be very tempting for the player to bully her, they should keep in mind that, even against characters with +2 ATK, Reika is more likely than not going to survive one challenge at full HP; her bulk at full HP is just enough to make randomly fighting into her without any Battle cards not very worthwhile, since her counterattacks are so damaging. Even though strong combat characters such as
and can come out on top when they get the first strike, this often comes at the cost of half of their HP or more - and the threat of a stray 8 on her counterattack must always be respected. Instead, it is better to swoop in when she has already suffered a point or two of chip damage, as her most important defensive asset (her counterattack) is nullified if she gets KO'ed instantly. If the opportunity presents itself, the player should not hesitate to finish off a weakened Reika if she has even a moderate star stockpile.- is the most reliable and flexible source of chip damage, so it should come as no surprise that it is extremely useful against Reika. The player can use Long-Distance shot when they decide to challenge Reika, weakening her considerably. Even -1 ATK characters can benefit from Reika being at 1 HP - likely KO'ing Reika if they attack. Using it to send her from 3 to 2 HP is also a very valid choice. Though keep in mind that +1 ATK alone only has around a ~40% chance to KO 2 HP Reika.
- is both excellent for enabling safe pokes at Reika's HP, and defending against a Reika challenging the player. It may lower their odds of KO'ing 2 HP Reika for that fight, but unless they really need her dead that instant, it's better to use this card than it is to risk her hitting back with +2 ATK.
- is largely useful for the same reasons Serious Battle is, but it is also harder for most characters to justify decking. Still, if a hard Reika counter is desired, it doesn't get any harder than this.
- is another great tool for mitigating Reika's counterattacks, since even with all of her firepower, she struggles to one-shot most characters without Battle cards, and can't risk playing cards like on defense. She can potentially use it to stay above 1 HP for longer, but it's inherently riskier for her to rely on it, due to her frailty.
- is perhaps one of the best cards to deal with a full HP Reika. The player can utilize later in the game to deal 2 HP to Reika and end the challenge. This can either KO Reika if she's 2 HP, or leave her at 1. Either scenario can be beneficial for the player, depending on the circumstances.

Co-op
In Co-op mode, Hoshino Reika's REC stat is increased from 5 to 7, due to her base ATK of +2. Her passive also does not change, but interacts uniquely with the changes to Norma progression in Co-op:
- When Reika triggers a Norma check, only the Stars requirement can be used to level up.
- Reika will still level up when another player's Norma check succeeds, even if the Stars requirement has not been fulfilled.
Hoshino Reika's Hyper, Star Collector, is changed into an Event type card and has a slightly different effect in Co-op. The Hyper will affect all players, no longer causes players to lose stars, and does not end upon a player being KO'd. Otherwise, it functions similarly to its Normal mode counterpart.

Bounty Hunt
In Bounty Hunt mode, Hoshino Reika's passive does not visibly change. However, her passive does not function due to changes to Norma progression in Bounty Hunt. As a result, Reika can complete Fame Norma objectives like any other character.
Reika's base stats give her 28 starting stars and a markup of +30% at shops.
