• Seagull appears in the artwork for and is quoted in the descriptions of  Cloud of Seagulls and  Jonathan Rush. It also appears in the artwork for  Unforgiving Avenger.
• Seagulls are completely docile in Flying Red Barrel unless shot at first, which causes them come back and attack.
• A Seagull is named Jonathan in Flying Crimson Barrel, likely as a reference to Jonathan Livingston Seagull.^{[citation needed]} Jonathan's name was later used for the Seagull opponent in Kai Episode 1, as well as in 200% Mixed Juice! and the Beach Party event.
• The reference to Jonathan Livingston Seagull is made even more apparent with the addition of Seagull's hyper,  Jonathan Rush, in Version 1.15.
• Seagull's Beach Accessory appears to be a reference to the character Jotaro Kujo (from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).
• When playing the Arcade's Fish-a-Fish Minigame, Seagull is named Jonathan in the results screen.

• Robo Ball and Seagull now lose 1/4 stars (and chocolate) in battles (down from 1/2).
• Fixed a bug that would make  Jonathan Rush's -1 DEF effect be kept after a battle.
