Summer Beast (夏の獣 Natsu no kemono) is a limited-time playable character in 100% Orange Juice!. It is one of the seven player units featured in the Four Heavenly Kings mutator of Chaos Mode during the Fool's Gambit (2023 Rerun) event, alongside Big the Jonathan, Big the Haruo, M10 Robot, Star Devourer, RoPoChi, and Swimming Coach.

Passives

Gain 1 Hype (up to a max of 10) when dealing or taking damage in battle.
Gain 2 Hype upon KOing an opposing unit due to any effect (including any cards that deal damage).
Upon entering recovery with 4+ Hype, lose all Hype and automatically revive with full HP.

Notes

Despite the passive's wording, Summer Beast does not necessarily gain Hype any time another player suffers KO. Summer Beast must cause the KO herself for her passive to apply.
Damage dealt or taken via Shield Counter causes Summer Beast to gain 1 Hype.
If Summer Beast revives via Extend or Forced Revival, she will not lose Hype.

Effect

Summer Beast's Hyper is Chaotic Rampage.

This card has varying effects depending on the character that uses it.

When this card is used by Summer Beast, the player will consume all stacks of Hype and gain a number of stacks of Chaos Rampage equal to one-third the amount of consumed Hype stacks (rounded down). For each stack of Chaos Rampage, the player gains +1 ATK. The player will lose all stacks of Rampage upon KO. In addition, all non-KO'd units except the player will take damage equal to one-third the amount of consumed Hype stacks (rounded down). For every unit KO'd by this effect, the player gains 1 HP.
When this card is used by any character other than Summer Beast, nothing happens.
