Introduction[ | ]
Introduced with Version 1.19.1 in 2017, the Summer 2017 Event added new cosmetics and maps for players who participated in the event. These included Sunglasses cosmetics for all characters, a custom die, a Poppo Mask, a home marker, and 2 new boards. In order to receive the new items, the event itself added two new activities to the game.
The 2017 Summer Event is a seasonal event that ran from June 23rd, 2017 - July 31st, 2017.
Collect Treasure![ | ]
The first addition was the introduction of limited-time golden treasure chests similar to ones added in the field event (which was introduced shortly before the event). At the beginning of chapter 10 in any game, a golden treasure chest would appear on a random board panel. If any player, including CPUs, landed on the panel, all players would receive the 
Sunglasses cosmetic for the respective character they were using at the end of the game. (Starting in Version 1.19.2, the golden chest would spawn at chapter 5 in online games.)
The second addition was the global counter on the main menu of the game, the first event to have one. Starting at 50,000 chests, the global counter would decrease as golden chests were opened in the game. Once a certain number of chests were opened, new items were unlocked for all players participating in the event.

- This event's unlocks were added to the shop in Version 1.19.3.
- The boards and Poppo Mask can be directly purchased, making them non-seasonal following this event.
- The Treasure Dice, Palm Tree Homemark, and Sunglasses can be obtained randomly from the Mystery Bag.
