spacer ==Overview== One Halloween night, a hungry Krilalaris searches for candy to fill her empty stomach with some treats. Ceoreparque tries to help, but some cookies from Kiriko turn out to be a trap, making them both even more hungry! Will Krila and Repa be able to collect enough candy to fill their bellies and save their stomachs?! The goal of the event is to collect 1500 pieces of Candy 2023 from online matches and trick or treat with other players to complete games faster. This event is a rerun of the original event from 2018. Like the first rerun event, a number of new costumes were added to the Shop to be purchased with event currency. This run also retains the separated game mode settings and increased candy rewards from the first rerun. Those who had previously participated in this event in 2018 or 2020 retained their earned candy count from before, being able to pick up where they left off. __TOC__ ==Rule Changes== spacer <div class="halloween"><tabber> |-|Candy= <div style="margin-left:10px;"> Trick and Treat Mode, as the name implies, features a unique game mechanic in the form of collectible candy (not to be confused with the Candy 2023 currency). There are four different types of candy available for the player to collect: candy corn, striped candy, brown candy, and green candy. Each player's HUD will now feature a silhouetted candy section at the bottom which can hold up to four pieces of candy. Collecting candy is simple and follows some basic rules: *Each player starts the game with a single piece of candy in their inventory and gains an additional piece of candy every third chapter. At the start of the player's turn, they will gain 1 star for each held candy. *If a candy matches the silhouette on the player's HUD, the player can land on a Home panel to exchange the matching candy for 10 stars and 1 Win each. The HUD can only hold up to four pieces of candy; if the player receives a fifth, the oldest candy in the inventory (the closest one to the player's character portrait) is dropped regardless of its type. </div> |-|Collecting= <div style="margin-left:10px;"> To benefit from collecting the proper pieces candy, The player has two possible ways to receive more candy during the course of the game. The first and easiest way is through the Treat field event. Every 3 chapters, the player will automatically receive another piece of candy at random in their HUD inventory. This will be indicated by the "Treat" logo appearing over the player's head. The second and more unique way is to trick or treat with opposing players. Anytime the player passes by an opponent who is holding candy, they may request one of candy in the opponents HUD inventory. If the opponent only has one piece of candy, it is selected automatically. The opponent then must decide whether to give the player the candy or refuse. If the opponent says yes, the player will receive the candy in their inventory, but if the opponent refuses, the opponent will receive one of the following punishments: *Discard 1 card *Take 2 damage *Frost Walk: Turns panels the player walks over including the panel they stop on into Ice panels. *Poppo Stop: Miss next turn (same effect as Dangerous Pudding). Immediately after trick or treating, the player will be asked if they would like to battle the player like normal. If the opponent refuses to give away the requested candy, and are then KO'd by the player (either in battle or as a result of the take 2 damage punishment), the player requesting the candy will steal the piece of candy. The player will only receive candy from combat if they were denied candy before it. <center><div><ul> <li style="display: inline-block;"> </li> <li style="display: inline-block;"> </li> <li style="display: inline-block;"> </li> </ul></div></center> </div> |-|Strategies= <div style="margin-left:10px;"> As to be expected, the player can use candy as part of their strategy during the course of a match. Characters like Star Breaker and other bullies can hunt other players for their candy to gain free wins when they return to a Home panel. Characters not aiming for wins norma can use their candy for bonus stars every turn, and take advantage of the ability to swap between norma types, thanks to the free win provided if they get the right piece. There are more complex strategies to use, however. If an opponent does not have the player's desired candy piece, the player can always ask for the piece the opponent needs to force them to punish themselves to keep it. Likewise, constantly passing opponents will force them to give up their candy and lose the +1 star benefit every chapter. The player can quickly end up in the lead early on if they have 4 candy while other players only have 1 or none. Candy can also be used like Gamble!, if the player only has 2 points of health left. If the player is lucky, they can purposely refuse to give candy in order to try and KO themselves with the lose 2 health punishment and escape any star loss. </div> |-|Event Goal= <div style="margin-left:10px;"> The goal of the Trick & Treat event is to collect 1500 pieces of Candy 2023. This is the candy collected at the end of a match in Trick And Treat mode. The player's collection is monitored by the pumpkin icon on the main menu of the game and it is capped at 1500 pieces. It should also be noted that the icon is not a global counter, meaning it only applies to the player. At the end of a match, the player will receive Halloween candy depending on their placement of the scoreboard: 120 for 1st place, 110 for 2nd, 100 for 3rd, and 90 for 4th. This candy counts toward the event goal of 1500 candy and can be spent in the shop to purchase Halloween costumes. Upon completion of collecting all 1500 pieces of candy, the player will unlock the second event cutscene and 3 more random drop item to collect. </div> </tabber></div> spacer ==Event Rewards== <div class="halloween"><tabber> |-|Event Goal=<div style="margin-left:10px;"> {| class="tablecolor" style="width: 90%; color:black; border:1px #FFBE62; text-align:center; margin: 1em auto 1em auto;-webkit-border-radius:10px;" |- ! scope="col" width="30%"|Name ! scope="col" width="15%"|Status ! scope="col" width="55%"|Unlock Method |- class="wikitheme wikitheme-text" |Halloween 2018 Event intro cutscene |Returning |Open the game. |- class="wikitheme wikitheme-text" |Halloween 2018 Event ending cutscene, artwork, and plate backgrounds |Returning |class="tablecurve-r" rowspan="3"|Earn 1500 Candy 2023 in the main menu candy bucket. |- class="wikitheme wikitheme-text" |class="tablecurve-l" | Leo Kigurumi |Returning |} </div> |-|Bonus Items=<div style="margin-left:10px;"> After completing the event goal, bonus items can be received at random after finishing a game during the event.
