Strategy[]
Vortex is a relatively small board with a surplus of Encounter panels and of lot of ways to catch up to opponents, which makes it an incredible map for bullies. Since the only option for healing outside of cards and passives are Home panels, it is very easy for players to be KO'd from prolonged combat.
- Wins: Offensive characters will enjoy the abundance of Encounter panels and typically do not have any particular path they intend to follow. Chasing weaker players can prove fruitful due to the tiny size of the board and the possibility of chip damage through frequent combat and the default Field Events, especially when taking advantage of the Move panels found in the outer ring. However, it is important to restock and level up at Home frequently, or else the routine combat will take its toll on even the strongest bullies.
- Stars: Star collectors must beware of the Encounter and Drop panels surrounding their homes. The outer ring carries less inherent danger as well as the potential to draw vital healing cards, but the player must be careful in order to avoid any bullies that may be chasing, which can make either path a risky proposition. The Warp panels can provide a nimble escape should the player happen to land on one. A high DEF stat is invaluable for surviving the onslaught.
Character Synergy[]
- Advantaged
- Any character with a high ATK stat can typically shut down Encounter panels instantly while harvesting fast Wins. in particular will have no trouble with her norma requirements, especially with the default event.
- Defensive powerhouses such as Home panels quite frequently. and well-rounded units such as can ignore any trouble caused by combat, allowing them to make trips to
- Disadvantaged
- Characters like and often suffer KO due to their poor combat stats.
- Any character with low HP, such as , may struggle to survive the excess chip damage. Similarly, will find itself unable to recover its HP faster than it is damaged.
